What is Advanced Literacy, and how does it relate to ELL/MLL learner success? In this workshop, participants will take a deep dive into the Advanced Literacy Briefs regarding Linguistically Diverse Learners and the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards, provided to NYS by Nonie K. Lesaux, PhD from Harvard University & Emily Phillips Galloway, Ed.D. from Vanderbilt University. This workshop will define and explore the skills and competencies that enable the achievement of linguistically diverse students in literacy.
