Rethinking Family Engagement in the Age of Remote Learning - ONLINE Course - September 25 through October 5, 2020

Learning has swiftly shifted from schools to homes. The modality of instruction, for many, has transitioned from face-to-face to online. These transitions are happening simultaneously with many families making similar shifts in their professional lives. For this reason, meaningful and deliberate relationship building is more important than ever.

Family engagement should encourage and empower families to be their own champions. As a community, we need to work toward goals that focus on specific family strengths, resources, and needs.

As families work through the challenges of making these transitions, educators must use best practices for family engagement to provide emotional and technical support, compassion, and encouragement as they partner on facilitating learning from the home.

This workshop will provide actionable steps educators can take to foster and build upon a school-to-home partnership.

Participants MUST be enrolled by Thursday, September 24, 2020.
