Many school districts in NY are currently experiencing sharp increases in ENL student enrollment this fall. In order to help districts successfully welcome, orient, and "onboard” newcomers, the Hudson Valley RBERN will facilitate a discussion focusing on:
ELL identification and enrollment
Awarding transfer credits for newcomer ELLs
Program, cohort and course placement for new students
This synchronous, virtual meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 13, from 11:00-12:00 PM. The format is a short presentation, followed by Q&A and a discussion of best practices.
Participants MUST be enrolled by Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
