How can we effectively support ELL students in today's diverse classrooms?
With English Language Learners (ELLs), the fastest-growing student population in the country, teachers are looking for proven strategies and resources to help their students navigate learning a new language while providing equitable access to the curriculum.
The ENL Foundational Series is centered around best practices for general education teachers embracing their role as language teachers for students learning content when their first language is not English. This is a 3-part series of hybrid (asynchronous and synchronous) workshops. There will be a Live Orientation at the beginning and a Live Debrief at the end of each part. In between, participants will complete a self-paced course which includes an assessment quiz, in order to be awarded 5 CTLE hours. Participants can enroll in Part 1 now. MLP listings will be available soon for Part 2: Strategies for Success (5 CTLE hours), Dec. 1st through Jan. 26th; and Part 3: Monitoring and Assessing Progress (5 CTLE hours), Feb. 9th through Mar. 30th.
