In Part 2 of the series, teachers will build a toolkit of strategies for scaffolding and differentiation that will help ELLs develop literacy skills with a focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Topic 1. Teaching Reading to ELLs, What's Different? Applying the 5 pillars to ELLs. (Live Orientation - 3:15-3:45 PM)
Topic 2. Building Background Knowledge
Topic 3. Incorporating Vocabulary Routines
Topic 4. Supporting ELLs Before, During and After Reading
Topic 5. Developing Writing Across Content Areas (Live Zoom Debrief - 3:15-3:45 PM)

Last day to register: Tuesday, 11/30/21

Zoom links will be provided before 3:15 PM on the days of the Live sessions with registered participants to the email addresses they used to enroll in Frontline (MLP). Attending the Live sessions is critical in order to receive 5 CTLE hours.
