Rethinking Family Engagement in the Age of Remote Learning - ONLINE Course via MOODLE - May 4, 2021 through May 19, 2021

Learning has shifted from schools to homes and the modality of instruction, for most, has transitioned back and forth from face-to-face to online. These transitions are happening simultaneously with many families making similar shifts in their professional and personal lives.

Family engagement should encourage and empower families to be their own champions. As a community, we need to work toward goals that focus on specific family strengths, resources, and needs.

As families work through the challenges of making these transitions, educators must use best practices for family engagement to provide emotional and technical support, compassion, and encouragement as they partner on facilitating learning at both home and school.

This asynchronous workshop will provide actionable steps educators can take to foster and build upon a school-to-home partnership.

Participants MUST be registered by Thursday, April 29, 2021.
