Data-Driven Instruction for ELLs: Using NYSESLAT Data to Plan for Instruction - via Zoom

In this hands-on, synchronous workshop, participants will deconstruct NYSESLAT data to analyze student modality performance and determine their ELL's proficiency levels in reading, speaking, listening, and writing. Deconstructed data will then be used to set informed student language proficiency goals, and plan for purposeful instruction across the four modalities using the NYSESLAT Performance Level Descriptions (PLDs). Participants will then have the option to continue their learning through several asynchronous activities of their choice. This workshop is intended for all teachers who work with ELLs and who utilize NYSESLAT data. Participants will earn 2 CTLE credits for attending the synchronous Zoom session, and then have the option to earn more credits asynchronously using a choice board with various extension activities.

*NOTE: Participants must bring the following:
- NYSESLAT score data for their students, showing raw or scale scores for each of the four modalities

Participants MUST be enrolled by Thursday, October 14, 2021.

To access this workshop, a Zoom link will be shared with registered participants' email addresses used to enroll in Frontline (MLP).
