NYSITELL Administration - Asynchronous ONLINE Course - July 19 through July 30, 2021


The NYSITELL is the tool used for the identification of students as English Language Learners (ELLs). This workshop is designed to train participants in the administration of the NYSITELL (which must be administered in-person; there is no virtual option.) The NYSITELL must be administered by qualified personnel (NYS certified TESOL, bilingual teachers, administrators or NYS certified teachers who have been trained in language acquisition and culturally responsive practices.) This training is appropriate for anyone new to or who would like to review the NYSITELL administration procedures.

Interested participants must register no later than Thursday, July 15, 2021. Information for the course will be emailed to registered participants on Monday, July 19, 2021 by 9:00 AM.

CTLE credit will be earned after participants complete a quiz. The estimated amount of time needed to complete this course is approximately 3 hours, which includes your quiz time.
