Hudson Valley RBE-RN February Update
/We are officially in the second half of the school year!
In the spirit of keeping you updated, we want to share links with you to recently released information regarding the 2018 NYSITELL, newly scheduled HV RBE-RN workshops (including another NYSITELL training at SW BOCES), and details regarding an informational session about the Intensive Teacher Institute in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at SUNY New Paltz.
Implementation of the 2018 Edition of the NYSITELL begins this week. NYS/OSA has added several documents to the website here to support districts with the transition to the new test. The website includes a memo regarding NYSITELL distribution and security, the Guide to the NYSITELL, FAQs, and a PowerPoint. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
Another session has been added for Training for Administration of Updated NYSITELL at Southern Westchester BOCES!
Friday, February 9th, 2018, 9-12:00 PM
As a result of this ½ day training session, participants will learn about the changes to the NYSITELL, focusing on the changes in the test processing. This session is recommended for ENL teachers and coordinators, classroom teachers, and building and test administrators who want to learn more about the NYSITELL test processing and review administration practices. Those who will be administering the NYSITELL or who will have a role in any part of the test processing should attend a training session. Register in MLP here.
Due to high demand, we are offering another session of Planning for Instruction Using NYSESLAT Data at Sullivan County BOCES on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018. Participants will analyze NYSESLAT modality data to purposefully target instruction across NYSESLAT proficiency levels. This workshop is intended for all teachers who work with ELLs and who utilize NYSESLAT data. Register in MLP here.
Please visit our website www.hudsonvalleyrbern.org for other workshops we have scheduled.
