Professional Development

Get recommended for certification to teach Grades 1-6 through the NYSED-approved, 17-credit Online Advanced Certificate in Childhood Education program for ENL teachers at LIU Hudson.

You’ll receive a 45% tuition reduction when you join LIU Hudson’s 7th cohort, which starts September 2020 with two courses; continues with two courses in the Spring 2021 term; and finishes in Summer 2021.

Classes will be led by teachers experienced at both the K-12 and university levels who have undergone rigorous training in online instruction. Classes will be online and asynchronous, but will offer participants many opportunities to engage with classmates and instructors.

Please note: Prospective students must be ESOL-certified and already hold a Master’s degree.

For more information or to apply, please contact Dr. Lea Rutmanowitz, Associate Dean for Program and Partnership Development at lea.rutmanowitz@liu.edu or 914-831-2728. View program flyer here.
