Special Appeal
In response to widely varied teaching and learning conditions caused by the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Regents approved a temporary expansion of the existing process to appeal to graduates with a lower score on a Regents Examination. This appeal process will be known as the Special Appeal.
This appeal process is separate from the traditional ELA Regents appeal process for English Language Learners, which includes all Regents Exam subjects and is allowable for any student who meets the criteria outlined in the following Special Appeal Memorandum and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document. Districts must complete the following Special Appeal Form.
You can read more about the Special Appeal at this link: http://www.nysed.gov/curriculum-instruction/appeals-safety-nets-and-superintendent-determination.
