Writing is Thinking (WIT) involves explicit instruction in expository writing skills to develop students’ written and oral language, content knowledge and reading comprehension simultaneously. WIT is especially powerful for English learners because it also teaches how the English language works.

Educator Modules Launch on Translanguaging and Trauma-Informed Practice (Virtual)

Not Too Young: Immigration in Elementary Schools Video Series Launch

This video series will showcase the school-wide projects produced by three elementary schools in New York City (PS 212Q and PS 340X) and Western New York (The Children’s School of Rochester). These projects illustrate the ways that schools can be responsive to their immigrant communities and prioritize immigrant students and families at their schools.
