The State of Undocumented Educators Virtual Launch

Please join CUNY-IIE at the virtual launch of the report titled The State of Undocumented Educators in New York.

The report highlights the experiences of DACA recipients and undocumented professionals in the field of education. Based on focus groups and a survey of undocumented immigrants and DACA recipients, the report describes the challenges and conditions faced by undocumented immigrants to obtain a degree in education and work in their field.

Speakers at the virtual report launch will provide an overview of the main findings from the report and recommendations for various institutions to support and guide current and aspiring undocumented educators.

The NYS Language RBERN at NYU/Steinhardt Metro Center, in collaboration with the Hudson Valley RBERN, and the NYC RBERN at Fordham University, is pleased to provide a three-session Institute for secondary-level school administrators, teachers, and support personnel who work with students identified as Long-Term ELLs (LTE) and who also have a disability, or who have been identified as at-risk of attaining academic achievement.
