New workshop: Assessing College Inclusivity
Wednesday, February 28, 2024, 5:00-6:30 PM
During this interactive workshop, students will explore crucial aspects of college inclusivity for undocumented students, equipping them with the necessary tools to make well-informed decisions about their future educational endeavors. This event is also open to students in two-year colleges or who are pursuing education as a major.

The Orientation Resources Guide provides an overview of the Bridges Language & Literacy Approach, which also describes their integration of the Science of Reading. Also included in the document is a link to the Bridges Program Implementation Guide which can be useful for administrators.

Checkpoint A Benchmark Proficiency Assessment Guidance and Item Writing Workshops (Summer 2024)
Hudson Valley: Thursday, July 11 - Friday, July 12, 2024, Ulster BOCES (175 Route 32 N, New Paltz, NY 12561)
NYSED OBEWL is sponsoring free two-day, in-person workshops in each of nine regions (see dates and venues on Registration Form) in New York State to support NYS world language educators to understand and apply the Principles and Guidelines for Adopting or Creating Locally Developed Benchmark Assessments for Checkpoint A (Modern, Classical, ASL*).
Participants must commit to attending both days in full. 8 hours of CTLE credit are offered.
*The Principles and Guidelines for Adopting or Creating Locally Developed Benchmark Assessments for Checkpoint A (American Sign Language) are anticipated to be released in the spring.
