New HV RBERN NYSITELL Training Scheduled

Greetings!

Just added! NYSITELL Training will be held virtually on Friday, September 11, from 12:30-3:00 PM.

The NYSITELL is NYSED's English Language Learner (ELL) identification instrument. This workshop is designed to train participants in the administration of the NYSITELL (which must be administered in person; there is no virtual option for NYSITELL administration). This training is intended for anyone new to the NYSITELL administration procedures or for those who would like a review. This session will also include details about the ELL Identification process and timelines that are currently in place as a result of school closures and reopenings, as well as a review of the regular process and timeline. Click here for more information and to register.

Hudson Valley RBERN Update

The HV RBERN team is planning on holding Office Hours Monday afternoons, from 3:00-4:00 PM, September, 14 and September 21, 2020. During Office Hours, HV RBERN staff will be available to answer questions and to serve as thinking partners. If you have an inquiry or a topic that you want to discuss with RBERN team members, please complete this survey. Our team will then send you the Office Hour's connection information. Moving forward, we will reevaluate the day and time of Office Hours for the future.

The Hudson Valley RBERN team is interested in hosting a virtual bilingual conference this November and are seeking feedback about how we can schedule this conference to include all educators. Last year, we held our first annual Sustaining Multilingualism in the Hudson Valley conference on election day in November. We are looking to schedule this virtual conference during the week of November 1st this year. Please take a moment to complete the Inquiry for Scheduling to help us understand the potential availability of educators to participate in the conference.
