Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages
OBEWL released a memo stating that parents/guardians of provisionally identified ELLs receiving entirely remote instruction must be included in the outreach conducted by schools. The parent/guardians of provisionally identified ELLs are to be informed that their child has the right to participate in the NYSESLAT and be informed of the arrangements to have their child participate in-person in the school building in the NYSESLAT during the testing window.
Regional Information Centers (RICs) typically provide additional blank NYSESLAT score sheets; please communicate with your testing coordinator if you anticipate needing additional blank score sheets. Requests for additional blank score sheets should be made to MHRIC by 4/26 and LHRIC by 5/7.
